Sidenote - If you've got some notes you don't know what to do with, stick 'em on the side. Sidenote appears as a slim white line on the side of your screen. When you mouse over it, a window opens. You can then type or copy in a note and save it. You can colour-code them as a way of creating categories, even if only temporarily.
Sidenote tries to catch the "Stickies" spirit but in the form of a multi-document drawer that will hide on the side of your screen (left or right). You can use it to take all your daily notes, include images and easily modify text color and font. Sidenote will automatically expand so that you will be able to drag into it any picture, text clipping or pdf file from the finder or your favorite application. Yes, Firefox. We realise it is not exclusively Mac software, but it has to be near the top of any Mac users software requirements. Why? Because it sticks head and shoulders above the competition: Internet Explorer, which is poorly supported, not secure and buggy under the OSX, and Apple's own Safari. Safari has many compatibility issues, meaning there are websites and Web 2.0 applications that do not run properly, or do not run at all, under Safari. It also lacks the many plugins and the ability to customise that Firefox offers. Apple is working on a new version of Safari, but it is clear that for the foreseeable future Firefox is leading the way in today's web browsing experience.
